The denial comes after an article was printed in the New York Times. The article was titled "For McCain, Self Confidence on Ethics Poses Its Own Risk." In the article, McCain is accused of having an improper relationship with Vicki Iseman, a lobbyist. The potential loss of votes could cost McCain the presidential nomination, political commentators argue.
McCain has already lost the support of some voters. He told onlookers at the press conference, however, that he is "confident we will get the nomination."
